On April 3, students from the Rural Community Academy in Graysville, IN, came to the Assisted Living to read their poetry.
One of the poems was about the Wabash River, which prompted resident Patty Wheeler-Crum to show the students her ring made with a pearl from the Wabash. This inspired student Dominic Estey to write a poem about the ring on the spot.
All the poetry was very good. The students stayed after reading to visit with the residents. We greatly appreciate RCA instructor April Benda and her very talented students for sharing their gifts with us.
